Togonon Gallery is pleased to present emerging French photographer Lucia Zegada in her first solo exhibition in San Francisco. Zegada’s work investigates the frontier between dream and reality.

The show takes the viewer on a powerful and sometimes eerie journey -- from portraits to interiors-- in France, Hungary and the U.S. Lucia Zegada captures the fugitive and yet intimate reality of the everyday familiar scenes, which through her lens take an unusual turn, transformed into a dreamlike reality. Zegada explains her work: “At the heart of my artistic process is the desire to eternalize fugitive moments, create an imaginary and give a dreamlike dimension to reality. Out of time, out of frame, Zegada’s multitude of dream lives composes a mosaic more emotional than documentary. Her poetic images reveal a very strong vision rare in such a young talent.
