Jane Caitlin synthesizes painting, drawing, and
printmaking. Constructed on Mylar, her art portrays biological
forms altered by spiraling changes brought on by rapid population
growth and rampant industrialization. The imagery refers to the
adaptations organisms go through in order to survive change–environmental
and otherwise. Jane holds an MFA from the Rhode Island School of
Design, is the recipient of several awards and grants, including
the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant. Her work is in the collection
of the Harrison Eccles Museum of Art in Utah. Currently she lives
in Logan, Utah where she is Associate Professor of Art at Utah State
University.
